Unclaimed $100,000 Powerball prize set to expire soon in Gastonia, NC

Lottery officials are urging people in Gastonia and the surrounding areas to check their junk drawers and wallets for any unclaimed Powerball tickets, as a $100,000 prize from the October 5 drawing is set to expire on April 4.

The winning ticket, which was sold at the Lake Wylie Mini Mart on Union Road, matched four of the white balls and the red Powerball drawing. The winning numbers were 26, 30, 33, 37, 62, and 6.

Lottery winners have 180 days to claim their prizes, and the clock is ticking for the lucky winner of this unclaimed $100,000 prize.

Executive director of the lottery, Mark Michalko, is urging people to search everywhere they keep their tickets and double-check any they have to see if they have the winning ticket. If the prize is not claimed by April 4, the money will be lost. So, check your tickets and claim your prize before it's too late!
