Welsh couple wins EuroMillions jackpot worth £1 million

A lucky Welsh couple won a whopping sum of £1 million in EuroMillions draw minutes after wife is cleared of breast cancer.

The winning ticket was sold at Bal’s Best-One Convenience Store in New Tredegar. The store will receive a bonus of £10,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

Husband, David is planning a £3,000 adventure to Mount Everest Base Camp next year while Lynne, 55, intends to go on holiday to China because it has been on her bucket list for a while.

David had an hour left of his 11-hour shift until his 5pm finish, but did the rounds asking various friends and colleagues to double check his Millionaire Maker code for him.

The couple returned to work just days later and are planning on taking their time to consider their options.
