Wethersfield resident won $150K Powerball lottery

Somebody is strolling through Wethersfield these days with a much, much heftier wallet after scoring a major Powerball win this week.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the winning ticket was sold Thursday to the tune of a $150,000 payout, which is short of the $600 million jackpot, but it is likely the winner isn't complaining too much.

The winning ticket was purchased at Speros Wine and Spirits, 683 Wolcott Hill Road. Powerball is a large, multi-state drawing game in which numbers are chosen and jackpots awarded

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
