Another lucky scratch off lottery player from Fairfield scoops a big jackpot recently

An unnamed Fairfield resident is $50,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Thursday, the person claimed a winning $4,000,000 Fortune ticket that was bought at Stratfield Wine & Liquor on Stratfield Road. 

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $50 per ticket, began in December 2023, and as of Friday, three grand prizes of $4 million remained unclaimed.

Nearly 4.1 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.38.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
