He discovered his win using the OLG app just before boarding a flight and decided to share the exciting news with his wife

A Brampton man won $5 million in the Sept. 16 Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot. Mohd Beg, a married father of two, said he plays Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max and this is his first big win.

"I was about to board my flight and decided to clean out my wallet," said Beg.

"I used the OLG app to check my tickets. When I saw $5 million appear, I couldn't believe it." Beg, 58, said he didn't get on his flight because he wouldn't have been able to focus. He went home to wake up his wife.

"I told her I wasn't getting on my flight and when she asked why, I showed her the OLG app," he continued.

"She was so excited!"

Beg said he didn't have any major plans but had already planned a vacation with his family.

"This is like the jackpot on top!" The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Hurontario Street in Mississauga.
