Largest ever Lotto prize $70 million won by s B.C. woman

A Burnaby woman is now the owner of multi-millionaire dollar after winning the largest Lotto jackpot. 

Cristine Lauzan is the B.C.'s largest Lotto winner. The lucky woman won $70 million jackpot in the September 28 Lotto Max draw. 

Lauzan says she stopped by a Burnaby Store to soothe a hankering for peanuts and made a decision to add a lottery ticket to her purchased. 

"I just thought, 'why not buy a ticket?'" She said. "I have definitely dreamed about it but I never thought it would actually happen. You never think it's going to happen. "

When asked about plans, the big winner says she'll be sharing the money with her close family members and donate some of it to the charity. 

"I feel excited and nervous all in one," Lauzan said.
