Lucky Calgary guy wins $7 million recently in a lottery game

Albertans are on a winning streak when it comes to the lottery as of late, and a lucky Calgarian has been added to the list. Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) says a Calgary ticketholder has the winning numbers for Monday’s DAILY GRAND draw: 16, 27, 36, 45, and 47, and the Grand Number of 2.

That person will have to choose between taking $1,000 a day for life, or a lump sum payment of $7 million. WCLC says this is the third million-dollar win in Alberta in a matter of days.

On Friday, a WESTERN MAX ticket in Edmonton won $1 million, and on Saturday, a ticket sold in Edmonton matched all six numbers to win the $5 million LOTTO 6/49 Classic Jackpot.

A woman from Okotoks also won a $100,000 EXTRA prize in Saturday’s draw. That same day, a ticket sold in Hanna fetched $461,007 on the new LIGHTNING LOTTO instant win game.
