In the latest Lotto Powerball draw in New Zealand, one lucky player has won a massive $17.25 million after hitting the jackpot in first division and Powerball.

The winning numbers were 23, 15, 40, 36, 29, and 3, with the Bonus Ball being 4 and the Powerball 7.

This is the seventh time this year that Lotto has made someone a multimillionaire in New Zealand.

Last month, a winning ticket worth $15.5 million was sold to a MyLotto player from Canterbury in a must-be-won draw. Half the value of the ticket sales from that draw will go towards helping people living in regions devastated by Cyclone Gabrielle.
