Lottery player turns $100 win into $1 million. ‘I thought the scanner was broken’

A lucky man from Oakland County won a whopping sum of $1 million playing Michigan Lottery's $1,000,000 Cash Multiplier game.

The winner at first bought four lottery tickets and won $100, and with this amount he again bought some tickets including $1,000,000 Cash Multiplier ticket. 

The winning ticket was purchased from a local convenience store located in Oakland County. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning ticket. 

When the winner saw the winning numbers in the screen, he was soo overwhelmed that he thought that the scanner was broken.

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home a lump-sum payment of $693,000 after state taxes.

The Michigan Lottery was initiated under the authority of Public Act 239 in 1972, and collects funds to support Michigan’s public school system.
