Lotto mystery: Two division one millionaires yet to come forward after winning big

The suspense continues in Western Australia as the hunt intensifies for two mystery Lotto winners who have yet to step forward and claim their substantial prizes.

One winning ticket dates back to March, where a lucky player matched the numbers for Wednesday Lotto’s $1 million division one prize. The ticket was purchased at the Jackpot Lottery Centre in Mirrabooka. The second winning ticket is even more significant—a whopping $2.5 million, thanks to a Saturday Lotto Superdraw in September. This ticket was sold at the Good Fortune Lottery Centre in Maddington.

Lotterywest spokesperson, Emma Rogers, emphasized the urgency, stating, “The owners of each ticket have 12 months from the draw date to claim their prizes.” Expressing concern about the unclaimed winnings, Rogers added, “Since neither of these tickets are registered to a Lotterywest account, we have no way of contacting the winners.”

Encouraging people to thoroughly check their belongings, Rogers suggested, “If you live near Mirrabooka or Maddington, check your wallets, glove box or any keep-safe spots, just in case a winning ticket is hiding somewhere.”

Western Australia has experienced a surge in division one winners this year, reaching an impressive total of 81, the highest since 2016. As anticipation builds, Lotterywest hopes the mystery winners will come forward before the 12-month deadline expires. With Saturday Lotto’s $30 million Megadraw approaching, excitement continues to grow, offering players another chance to join the list of fortunate winners.
