North Carolina resident won Powerball ticket worth $100,000

A lucky man from North Carolina named Michael Buck won Powerball jackpot worth $100,000 by matching the numbers on four white balls and the Powerball.
The winning Scratch-Off ticket was sold at a Walmart in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The store will receive a bonus of $1000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The ticket basically won $50,000 on its Power Play ticket, and it doubled to $100,000 with the 2X Power Play multiplier, according to NC Education Lottery.
Buck recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home $71,017 after federal and state taxes.
He plans to use a large portion of the money to boost his retirement.
