Where is California’s $2.04 billion Powerball winner?

A winning Powerball lottery ticket worth $2.04 billion that was sold in California is still unclaimed, according to the California Lottery. 

The winning ticket was sold at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena, about 15 miles outside downtown Los Angeles. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $20,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

State lottery spokesperson Carolyn Becker, said officials won't know the winner's identity until he or she comes forward, at which time vetting will determine whether the ticket and the person's claim to it are legitimate.

If you are someone who has bought lottery ticket from the same location, check your numbers and claim your prize as soon as possible. 

Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
