Virginia man wins Powerball with 2 tickets in same drawing

Luck is definitely on Ben Baker's side as he won not just one, but two prizes in the same Powerball drawing, earning him a total of $300,000.

The Covington, Virginia resident bought 10 Powerball tickets on March 4, and two of those tickets matched four of the winning numbers plus the Powerball numbers.

Normally, these winning tickets would yield a prize of $50,000 each, but Baker's decision to spend an extra dollar on the tickets for Power Play tripled his winnings.

Baker expressed his amazement and gratitude in a news release, saying, "I was really lucky!" He plans to use his earnings to improve his home and save the rest.

It's rare to win the lottery once, let alone twice in the same drawing, but for Baker, it was his lucky day. His story serves as an inspiration to lottery players everywhere, showing that anything is possible with a bit of luck and persistence.
