Winner says he almost passed out after check a lottery winning email

A North Carolina man was surprised and excited to find out he hit the jackpot prize after checking his emails. The man got so excited that his wife had to keep him calm.

James Penny, 56 years old father said to the North Carolina Education lottery, "I almost passed away."

"I was stunned"

Penny decided to try his luck on a Cash 5 game and is now celebrating his $167,635 fortune. The lucky father spent $5 on his ticket using his smartphone in online play, according to official release. 

Penny checked his emails, and found out he matched enough numbers to score big in November 28 drawing. 

"I've dreamed of winning the lottery my entire life," Penny said to the officials. "It's a dream come true,"

Mr. Penny will now split the big jackpot prize with two other lottery players. 

When aske about his plans, Penny said he plans to take a family trip this holiday season after claiming his windfall.
