'Very happy': Oakville woman racks up $100,000 lottery win Rose-Marle Lannigan won a $100,000 prize on an Instant Payline Multiplier ticket.

Rose-Marie Lannigan was on her way to play pool with friends when she stopped to buy a pack of gum.

While there, she decided to buy an Instant Payline Multiplier ticket as well.

While scratching is something pool players try to avoid at all costs, it paid off for Lannigan. The ticket won the 59-year-old Oakville woman a $100,000 prize.

“I was very happy. I went to play pool with my lady's team and didn’t say anything until after the game,” she said.

“They said, ‘no wonder you were late.’” Lannigan said the win offers some peace of mind.

“I will pay off bills, purchase a new vehicle and put the rest away for retirement,” she said. Lannigan bought her winning ticket at Esso on Plains Road in Burlington.
