A big $1 million mega millions lottery ticket is sold out Silver spring

The Maryland Lottery said a gas station convenience store sold the first $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket of 2024.

The ticket was for the drawing on June 4. The winner bought it at Aspen HIlls Citgo, located at 13615 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring.

The store, itself, gets a $2,500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery. Although the win wasn’t as big for two other Mega Millions tickets sold in Maryland, the people who bought them won $10,000 per ticket.

The winning ones were sold at Talbert’s Ice & Beverage Service at 5234 River Road in Bethesda and 7-Eleven at 106 North Division Street in Ocean City.

One player in Illinois actually hit the $560 million jackpot. The lnumbers to match were 19, 37, 40, 63 and 69; the Mega Ball was 17.
