Someone fortunate in East Tennessee is $100,000 richer from before after winning a big jackpot in Powerball ticket that was sold out in Hamblen County.

A Powerball lottery player, who has not been identified, turned a $50,000 win into a $100,000 prize with the Powerball Power Play option after Monday night’s drawing, according to the Tennessee Lottery.

The winner matched four of the five winning numbers plus the Powerball to win $50,000, officials said.

But since the player added Power Play, the prize was doubled because the multiplier drawn was two.

Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at Food City, located at 2290 West Andrew Johnson Hwy. in Morristown.
