Lucky Staten Island's guy scoops a big jackpot recently in a lottery game

A winning scratch-off game worth the $3 million top prize was sold at a deli on Staten Island, New York Lottery officials announced.

The winning Electric 10X scratch-off was purchased recently at Sunrise Gourmet Deli, located at 3014 Richmond Road in Richmond.

While it’s not clear who purchased the winner, MMNJ24, a Staten Island-based limited liability company (LLC), came forward to claim the prize, opting for a single lump sum payment of $1,573,457 after required withholdings, according to a Lottery press release.

A worker at the deli on Saturday said he didn’t know the person who purchased the winner, but added the store sold another winning ticket about a month ago, noting they have been on a “streak” of late.

As of Saturday, there is still one top prize remaining on the Electric 10X ticket.
