A Powerball lottery player from Clinton grabs a big jackpot recently

A $2 million Iowa Lottery prize is waiting for one lucky person to claim it. According to a press release from the Iowa Lottery, a $2 million winning ticket for Saturday's drawing was purchased at Clinton Liquor, located at 1641 S. Bluff Blvd.

So far, no one's stepped forward to claim the ticket. Winning claims must be handled at the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive within 180 days of the drawing in which they won.

The office is open Monday through Friday, and it's a good idea to make an appointment ahead of time.

Though the prize is huge, it's not as big as it could've been: The ticket came within one number of Saturday's $337.9 million jackpot.

Another $2 million Powerball prize, purchased at a Casey's in Tiffin back in October, also remains unclaimed.
