A fortunate resident from Ohio wins a big jackpot in Powerball lottery game

Although nobody won the $760 million Powerball jackpot in the lottery drawing for Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, one Northeast Ohioan is waking up a millionaire.

Ohio Lottery officials say that a $1 million ticket was sold at the Marathon on Wilson Mills Road in Highland Heights.

The lucky numbers from the Saturday night drawing are 10, 11, 26, 27, 34 with Powerball 7. The Power Play option was 4x.

The jackpot now grows to an estimated $810 million for the next Powerball drawing, which is set for Monday, Jan. 1 at 10:59 p.m.

That prize has a cash option worth $408.9 million. Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350.
