Clare family officially claimed a life changing €30.9 million Euromillions jackpot

A Clare family syndicate officially claimed their life changing Euromillions jackpot and revealed their plans for the whooping €30.9 million.

The lucky winner hit the massive jackpot prize in the Friday, February 11 draw after they purchased their winning ticket at Larkin's service station in Ballina, which is located on the border of Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.

The lucky family told the officials that there was a mix of excitement, shock and delight following the life changing draw.

However, the family did not check their ticket on the night of the draw.

"It was probably about two days before we found out that we won the jackpot so you can imagine the range of emotions that we went through then," they said.

The family members heard on a radio about the winning ticket, and they were quick to scan their ticket.

The family are planning to focus on looking after family. "The plan is to pay of mortgages and buy new home," they said. Few of them are eager to upgrade their cars too.
