A Delaware man is now a multi-millionaire after winning a $5 million lottery jackpot in Florida.

The Florida Lottery announced on Tuesday that 56-year-old Richard Morin had won the top prize in the $5,000,000 GOLD RUSH DOUBLER Scratch-Off game.

Morin purchased his winning ticket at the Kwik King located at 1651 Belle Avenue in Deltona. Morin chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,515,000.

After taxes, Morin took home $2,541,750.00. When asked what he plans to do with his winnings, Morin said he plans to retire, take a much needed vacation and invest the rest.

The Kwik King store also received a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $5,000,000 GOLD RUSH DOUBLER Scratch-Off game, which launched in November 2019, still has more than $8.7 million in total prizes remaining.
