Catherine Doucette was “jumping up and down and crying” when she learned her lottery ticket was worth $3 million.

“I was very excited,” the Calgary woman said. Doucette is the latest Calgarian to become a millionaire after scratching her Prestige instant ticket, winning the game’s top prize of $3 million.

She purchased her ticket at a Circle K on 12th Avenue S.W. The Calgary local is now setting herself up for retirement and is considering buying a property in Mexico.

She also hinted at using her winnings to buy a motorhome and travel. “I’m so stunned,” she said.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
