A lucky Ormond beach woman wins a big jackpot worth of $15 million
A Volusia County resident is millions of dollars richer after claiming a $15 million Florida Lotto jackpot from a drawing held earlier this year, according to a press release sent Friday by the Florida Lottery.
The winner, Donna Dubois, 58, is from Ormond Beach. She chose to receive her winnings as a lump-sum payment totaling $9,873,074.83.
Dubois purchased the winning ticket from V Discount Beverage, an Ormond Beach convenience store located at 775 S. Nova Road.
The retailer will receive a bonus commission of $100,000 for selling the winning ticket.
The drawing took place July 23, and Dubois claimed the jackpot at the Florida Lottery's Orlando District Office, the release said.
The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.
