A man was trying to claim the lottery jackpot prize falsely and get caught.

A man is carried to court by an Australian Newsagent for falsely claiming the winning jackpot prize for the lotto Lottery.

A directions hearing will take place regarding the matter in August.

The newsagents allowed the man to present one of their tickets to Lotterywest.

The man was claiming that he is a winner of the prize worth of AU$260,000 (US$186,375) share in an AU$63m (US$45m) lottery win.

A total of 250 people were the part of the ticket buying process, with each of them paying AU$100 (US$71.68) to be a part of the group. 

The lottery officials said, " We will take strong action against this man who dares to claim the prize falsely, ans who dares to cheat the lottery officials."
