A resident of Hempstead wins the top Prize in a scratch-off lottery game.

The winner lucky guy plays "$1,000 A Week For Life" in a scratch off lottery jackpot in Hempstead.

The lucky winner told lottery officials that, " I buy the ticket because my wife force me to do so, I was tired of buying and trying my luck on all these lotteries and all but my wife insist me to buy one more lottery for the last time for her."

" I went to market and buy a scratch off lottery ticket from Nassau County with the numbers related to the date of birth of my wife and take the ticket to home and ask her to scratch it." He said.

" My wife made me win this time, I thanks god to give me this much lucky wife." He said.

The winner choose the lum sum amount worth of $518,826 over the full payment in 20 years.
