A mega millions lottery player from Union county wins a big jackpot recently

A lottery player in Union County won $10,000 in the Friday, May 31, Mega Millions drawing.

The winning ticket was sold at The Butcher Block Market & Deli in Cranford, 209 Centennial Ave. The winning numbers were: 4, 11, 23, 33, and 49, with 23 as the Gold Megaball.

Players can pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers five different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (the gold Mega Ball) or select Easy Pick/Quick Pick.

Players win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing. Drawings are held at 11 p.m.

The winner has to reach the nearest lottery headquarters for further documentation formalities and for claiming their winning prize money, lottery officials said.

They also announced that the winner has only 180 days from the day of the lottery draw to claim the winning prize money.
