A Million dollar Powerball lottery ticket sold in California

The winning ticket matched five out of six winning numbers

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Wednesday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery and the estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing will be $308 million.

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number was sold in California and is worth $1 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.

The numbers drawn Wednesday are 16, 21, 29, 53, 66 and the Powerball number is 2.

The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
