A Jacksonville man is celebrating a life-changing lottery win after claiming a $1 million prize from a scratch off ticket.

The Florida Lottery announced that Joseph Martin, 35, will receive $640,000 as a one-time, lump-sum payment.

Martin purchased his lucky ticket at a Gate gas station at 8020 Collins Road in Jacksonville.

As a reward for selling the winning ticket, the store will receive a $2,000 bonus commission.

Martin won the money in the $50 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game, which has a top prize of $25 million and is the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off ticket.
