A Westmoreland county guy scoops $1 million recently in powerball lottery
A Westmoreland County resident recently won the Powerball grand prize of $1 million.
The ticket was purchased at the Quick Stop convenience store in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, matched all five white balls drawn in the April 17 drawing. The winning numbers were: 10-18-21-25-34.
The Powerball number was 12. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a secure place.
The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages all players to follow responsible play and play within their means. This is the third time in 2021 that a player in Pennsylvania has won the Powerball's grand prize.
The winner will have multiple options to collect their prize. They can either choose to receive a one-time, lump-sum cash payment or an annuity for 30 payments over 29 years.
The Quick Stop convenience store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Congrats to the lucky winner!
