A food store in Madison sold out a winning lottery ticket recently

Somebody, and maybe someone in Madison, became $339,842 richer (before taxes) on July 26.

According to the Georgia Lottery Corporation, a winning Fantasy Five Lottery drawing was sold at the Sunflower Food Store, 1241 Eatonton Road.

That ticket and a winning ticket sold in Loganville will split a $679,684 jackpot when the winning tickets are claimed.

According to Tandi Reddick, a spokesperson for Georgia Lottery Corporation, the winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize.

The lottery website says that for payoffs between $250,000 to $499,999 winners must arrive at Georgia Lottery Corporation headquarters or district offices by 4 p.m. for same day payment.

Winners who arrive after 4 p.m. are paid the following day. Payments, the website states, are made directly to the winner's bank account through automatic deposit.
