A woman who won £240,000 on the lottery has not spent any of her winnings a month after she struck gold

The lucky winner said she carried on living a normal life since being minted.

South Carolina Education Lottery officials said the woman won the cash on a $10 (£8) scratch-and-win ticket purchased from a Circle K store in Lexington.

Weeks later, the US woman said she still hasn't spent a cent of her winnings.

She said: I’m still in shock."Well I guess you could say, almost normal.I am having a lot of dreams of ways to spend it.

The winner overcame odds of one in 900,000 to win £240,000 in the Ultimate Riches game.

Three more top prizes remain on the ticket.The Lexington Circle K Store received a commission of £2,434 for selling the claimed ticket.

South Carolina Lottery posted the news on Instagram, with social media users sharing their excitement.
