Some serious luck: Alberta man wins the lottery twice in one month

A man from Alberta, Canada, had an extraordinary stroke of luck earlier this year, managing to secure two significant lottery wins within just over a month.

Dale MacMillan, a resident of Banff, first won $21,928.90 playing Poker Lotto and All In on February 24. Surprisingly, he repeated his success on March 31, winning the same game again and taking home a much larger prize of $141,174.70.

MacMillan shared his astonishment with the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) while claiming his prize, stating that he "couldn't believe it." He held onto his winning ticket since March and, when asked about his plans for the windfall, he revealed that he's primarily considering investing for his retirement.

The fortunate winner purchased his second winning ticket from the Petro Canada location in Banff. His Poker Lotto hand secured a Royal Flush, earning him $10,000, along with the $131,174.70 All In jackpot.

It's a remarkable story of unexpected fortune, demonstrating that sometimes, luck can strike more than once.
