Arizona Gas Stations Deliver Lottery Luck with Million-Dollar Wins

Over the weekend, lottery luck struck in Tempe and Mesa as two local gas stations sold winning lottery tickets.

A fortunate ticket purchased at a QuickTrip on Southern Avenue in Tempe secured the $2.4 million jackpot in Saturday's The Pick drawing.

On Friday, another Arizona resident struck luck, winning $10,000 from a Mega Millions ticket bought at the Shell station located on Power Road in Mesa.

Since Arizona's Powerball lottery debut in 1994, there have been 13 winning jackpot tickets, ranging from $5 million to a staggering $500 million.

The revenue generated from the lottery plays a vital role in supporting various community initiatives, including transportation, parks, welfare programs, and homeless shelters, among others.
