The Mega Millions lottery jackpot sores to $1.55 billion

The Mega Millions jackpot soared to a possible record-breaking $1.55 billion after no one won Friday's top prize of $1.35 billion.

While no big winner came from Friday's drawing, a ticket worth $2 million was sold in Michigan, according to lottery officials.

The numbers drawn late Friday were 11, 30, 45, 52 and 56.

The gold Mega Ball was 20. The winning Michigan ticket matched all five white balls plus the optional Megaplier, making it worth $2 million, according to the Mega Millions website.

In Michigan, the winning ticket was sold online, according to the Michigan Lottery website.

Other big winners included a $2 million ticket sold in Tennessee and $1 million tickets — meaning they matched all five white balls without the Megaplier option — sold in Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
