Man surprised after a Free Play ticket landed him a lottery win

A lucky Brampton resident named Ryaan Othman won Lotto Max jackpot worth $180,372 playing with a Free Play ticket.

The winning ticket was sold at Petro Canada on Main Street in Brampton. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $1,800 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.

While at home, Othman recalls pulling up the OLG App to scan his ticket but couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

The winner told lottery officials that he started playing the lottery on and off for about five months.

He plans to save his winning amount as of now for future uses.

Lotto Max is a Canadian lottery game coordinated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, as one of the country's three national lottery games.
