Charlotte man plans to buy Cadillac after $200,000 scratch-off win

A man from Charlotte named Claude Walkup won scratch-off game worth $200,000 playing North Carolina Education Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Murphy USA on Ashley Road. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $800 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. 

Walkup plans to buy himself a new car after taking home a $200,000 prize. The 62-year-old said he's still in awe of what just happened, but he's already got plans for at least some of his winnings. His dream car. 

North Carolina has one of the United States' youngest lottery systems, having been enacted in 2005.
