A lucky China Grove resident named Jeffrey Cunningham started yelling out loud at work when his ticket revealed a $500,000 Cashword scratch-off winnings.

The winning Scratch-Off ticket was sold at Rose Mart BP on South Elm Eugene Street in Greensboro. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $5000 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. 

Cunningham recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and took home $355,053 after State taxes.

The $500,000 Cashword game debuted in March with three $500,000 prizes. One $500,000 prize remains to be claimed. 

The winner plans to renovate his house with the winning amount and save the rest for future use.
