Coventry Woman Scores $10,000 Win on Scratch Ticket Gift

The winner plans to allocate her winnings towards her college tuition fees

A Coventry woman hit big on a scratch ticket, winning $10,000, Rhode Island Lottery officials said Thursday.

Lottery officials said the woman won playing the "High Roller" instant game, a scratch ticket that retails at $25.

The scratch ticket was a gift from the winner's sister. Her sister bought the winning ticket at Alltown at 1050 Bald Hill Road in Warwick.

Lottery officials said the woman will put the winnings towards her college tuition fees.

If anybody has a winning ticket, the player must keep it safe and claim the winning prize by visiting the nearest lottery headquarters. The player can also have the facility of calling or sending mail to start the claiming process.
