Father-daughter duo from Barrie win big in Lotto Max draw

A father-daughter team from Barrie, Ontario, who have been playing the lottery together for a decade, were overjoyed at winning big in the Lotto Max draw.

Maurice Ward and Shelley Aldom won $100,000 by matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order during the March 10 draw.

After realizing their win, Aldom and her father hugged each other and celebrated with drinks.

However, they initially had a hard time believing their good fortune and checked their email seven more times, thinking it might have been a glitch.

While Aldom plans to use her share of the money to help her children, her father has not made any specific plans yet.
