Kalamazoo County man wins $500,000 in scratch-off lottery ticket

A lucky man from Kalamazoo County won a whopping sum of $500,000 playing Michigan Lottery’s 5X Multiplier instant game. 

The winning ticket was sold at the Meijer gas station at 8994 Shaver Road in Portage. The store will receive a bonus of $5000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket. 

“I play a lot of the instant games, but I have only played 5X Multiplier a few times since it came out,” said the player. 

He plans to complete some home renovations and invest the rest.

The Michigan Lottery offers numerous on-line and scratch-off games, giving players a wide variety of prize possibilities. 

Lottery tickets are offered to the public through more than 10,000 licensed Michigan Lottery retailers, as well as online at the Michigan Lottery's website.
