Manatee County Player Scores Big in Florida Lottery Windfall

A Lakewood Ranch man just hit it big — turning a simple scratch-off into a life-changing fortune.

? The Winner: 68-year-old Ramon Cabo of Manatee County walked away with more than $7.7 million after winning the top prize from the Florida Lottery’s “$10,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE” game.

His golden ticket came from a Walmart on E. State Road 64 in Bradenton, proving once again that a lucky stop for groceries can pay off big.

Instead of weekly payments, Cabo opted for a one-time lump-sum payout of $7,752,000 when he claimed his prize in July.

This $20 scratch-off isn’t just any ticket — it boasts over $225 million in total cash prizes, with overall odds of 1 in 2.96 and a top prize chance of 1 in 3,848,168. As of now, three of the four top prizes are still up for grabs.

Cabo joins a growing list of Florida’s 2025 lottery legends — including an Ellenton woman who scored $5 million and a Bradenton man who pocketed $1 million earlier this year.
