Jesus Martinez, an 88-year-old former miner from Spain, fulfilled his long-time dream of becoming a millionaire when he won €1.2 million in the Spanish Christmas Lottery in Madrid with his lucky number 05490.

Martinez used to share how a gypsy had predicted his eventual millionaire status.

However, Martinez was unable to enjoy his newfound wealth for long, as he passed away just four months after his big win.

He had only received the first three instalments of his prize money from the lottery officials, and it is currently unclear what he did with the third instalment.
