There was great excitement in the National Lottery’s winner’s room today when a player from Dublin claimed their Daily Million top prize worth €1 million.

The player, who wishes to remain private, revealed their shock at winning the life-changing sum which they bought at Fresh the good food market, in Northern Cross, Dublin 17. They said: “We’re absolutely overjoyed and still in complete shock! We’re a young couple and it would be a dream come true to be able to buy our own house.

"We’ve always wanted to travel the world too, so hopefully we can tick a few countries off our list. We’re beyond excited for this next chapter and all the new adventures it will bring."

The Dublin player, who is now the 29th National Lottery millionaire, purchased their winning ticket on the day of the draw on September 22 in Fresh, the Good Food Market, in Northern Cross, Dublin 17. Also claiming a substantial prize from National Lottery HQ on Monday was a player from Dublin who scooped a whopping €177,594, after matching five numbers and the bonus in the Lotto draw on Saturday 20th August.

The player, who also wishes to remain private, purchased their winning ticket on the day of the draw in Circle K Belgard Rd Tallaght, Dublin 24. Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
