Florida man buys $50 scratch-off at corner store, wins $1 million

A lucky man from Florida named Antonio Redden won a whopping sum of $1 million playing A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off game. 

The winning ticket was purchased at Kevin’s Corner Store located at 2001 South French Avenue in Sanford. The store will receive a bonus of $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Redden plans to use his winnings to renovate his house and save the rest for his future use.

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.

Florida Lottery instant games range in price from $1 to $50, with higher priced tickets typically putting out a higher percentage of sales back into prizes. Payouts range from 58% to almost 77% of sales and average 70%.
