Lucky Texas resident wins Powerball jackpot worth $1 million

A lucky Texas resident wins a whopping sum of $1 million playing Powerball lottery drawing held on January 29.

The winning ticket was purchased from the Cinco Ranch Express store situated at 2950 S Mason Road, Katy, TX 77450. The store will receive a bonus of $10,000 for selling the winning ticket. 

The winner recently claimed his winning amount from the lottery headquarters and choose to remain anonymous. 

The winning numbers for the drawing were: 39, 41, 43, 49 and 64. The Powerball was 4. The winning ticket matched all numbers drawn.

Powerball is an American lottery game offered by 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, at the Florida Lottery's headquarters in Tallahassee.
