Coweta man accused of cashing lottery thefts moments after stealing them

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies in Coweta County have identified a man they say broke into a convenience store earlier this month and stole lottery tickets.

They say the man, whose identity they have not released, walked into a Racetrac on Amlajack Blvd. on September 8 and stole $1,200 worth of lottery tickets.

Once he left the Racetrac, deputies say the man drove less than a mile down the street to a Publix on Bullsboro Drive.

The suspect was caught on camera walking into the Publix and cashing the tickets.

Deputies have not confirmed if the suspect has been taken into custody or what charges he is expected to face.
