Balmore Bermudez from Charlotte, North Carolina, recently won a $100,000 prize from a scratch-off ticket.

He bought the winning ticket, which was a Mega 7's ticket, from the 786 C-Store on Milton Road in Charlotte. The store will receive a bonus of $1,000 for selling the winning scratch-Off ticket.

Bermudez arrived at the lottery headquarters on Monday to claim his prize.

After the state and federal tax withholdings, he was able to take home $71,256. 

This is a great example of how one's luck can change in a moment, and it is a reminder to keep trying your luck.
