Broken odometer numbers bring Maryland man third lottery jackpot

A man from Maryland named Douglas Eck won lottery jackpot worth $25,000 using the numbers from his truck's broken odometer.

The winning numbers were: 8-2-4-6-6. Eck told that he bought an old truck with a broken odometer stuck at 82,466 miles, so he uses these numbers to play Lottery every day.

The winning Pick 5 ticket was purchased from Royal Farms in Joppa. The ticket distributor will get a bonus of $500 for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

This is his third jackpot win in 27 years, as he won $50,000 from a Bonus Match 5 drawing in 1995 and $100,000 from a scratch-off ticket in 2008.

He plans to pay his bills and buy few lottery tickets with the winning amount.
