A convenience store in Boston, Massachusetts, sold a winning Mega Millions ticket in Friday night's drawing, with a lucky player scoring the $1 million prize.

Quick Pick Convenience was the store that sold the ticket, and according to the Massachusetts State Lottery, the odds of winning $1 million in the game are one in roughly 12.6 million.

The Friday drawing also produced a $476 million jackpot winner in New York, with the next drawing set for Tuesday, April 18, and a starting pot of $20 million.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in the United States. It is one of the biggest lottery games in the country and is played in 45 states, including Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The game is operated by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) and offers players the chance to win life-changing jackpots.

The game is played by selecting five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. To win the jackpot, players must match all six numbers drawn in the drawing.
